Sun kissed at the Mara by Kenneth K
“The little Governors camp is tucked away in the middle of the Mara near the great Mara river wilder-beast migration crossing. The camp is serene and quiet and not far from the airstrip. If you plan to do the hot air balloon then this is the place because the launch is inside the compound. The tented camps have all amenities with security being a top priority.
Inside the camps we got lucky to experience a family of Elephants grazing peacefully. The Manager & staff are super friendly. Meals was not all that i have seen better and expected much from them.
overall i would say i had a great time and would definitely recommend them to anyone.
P.S Two nights is not enough, 3 nights and above would be ideal.”
Best Holiday Ever!! by Louisa P
“We have just spent the most amazing three nights at Governors Camp on our first safari. The camp itself was perfect – the location of our tent (no. 10 & 11) was right next to the river and we could sit on our veranda watching the hippos. The standard of service and food was amazing- many thanks to Moses and Tommy for looking after us at mealtimes. Our guide/driver Saidi was outstanding- his knowledge and enthusiasm made the game drives so much fun and so interesting. We were lucky enough to have a trainee with us too – Sharline who was also very knowledgeable. We could not identify one favourite moment as it was all so memorable. We would love to return to Governors Camp in the future and will definitely request Saidi as our guide again if we can. Thank you so much for such a wonderful time.”
